In our Healing Arts initiative we utilize art and dance as tools for experiencing, expressing and releasing hard emotions.

Dance

We’ve partnered with Jeffrey Louizia at Millennium Dance Complex for our dance program.

Dancing releases endorphins and dopamine, which can improve mood, reduce stress, and decrease pain. Some studies have found that dancing for 25 minutes can reduce depression symptoms by 47% and dancing for 45 minutes can reduce anxiety symptoms by 57%.

Creativity

We also host multiple monthly arts groups. Some studies have show that engaging in creative arts can help in reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress by 73%!
