All of BHFLU’s staff serve on a volunteer basis.

Volunteer opportunities vary from coming to our Tuesday or Thursday tutoring night, to tutoring individual students at their homes, to mentoring a family on a regular basis.

Volunteers can determine their level of service in terms of time they are able to dedicate to these individuals.

Anyone involved in visiting families in their homes, being alone with any of the children, or who might be involved in driving children willl require a background check.
